Well, I have cousin who has a step son in a robotic club. She does everything she can to go out of her way and help the kids with their extra curricular activities. She has organized events and made special arrangements when needed. Now her step son has to raise $800.00 as his share for the club. So being the involved creative person that she is she organized a bake sale to help him start earning his portion. Many people pitched in to help and donate things for them to sell. Here are a some of the things we donated.
Of course baking and making some items to donate can be time consuming, but it is the fun and easy part. Making all the arrangements with a place to do it, pulling it all together, spending the time collecting the donations, researching and pricing the goodies, and doing what it takes to prepare for the event of selling the goodies is the hard and important part! (especially when it is added on top of all the shopping and baking goodies that she made her self too)
She has two other younger children of her own also that she tends to and makes arrangements for. One of the others also being in extra curricular activities that she helps with. (the youngest still too little but in much need of her mommy's attention). It is a job to juggle that is totally under estimated!
The day of the event there is gathering all you the bake goods, getting change for the sale, dropping little ones off, collecting helpers, and getting there to set up. This is the real time consuming part. Sitting out side at the tables in the cold weather, waiting to see if all your hard work paid off.
Well, today is the day! She is out on her way, to spend all morning and afternoon at a bake sale before she rushes home to take her little ones out trick or treating! In the mean time we are honored to have the easy job of enjoying Ally's company. It is a treat for us in return of all her hard work...Not quite fair to her, but I'm not complaining!

Thanks for watching Ally for me! She wouldn't have done well sitting there all day!
